The Mardi Himal Trek is a relatively new and less-traveled trekking route located in the Annapurna region of Nepal. This trek takes you through beautiful forests, traditional villages, and high alpine pastures, with stunning views of the Annapurna mountain range, including Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Machhapuchhre (Fishtail), and Mardi Himal.
The trek starts and ends in Pokhara, the gateway to the Annapurna region, and takes around 5-7 days to complete. The trail passes through lush forests of rhododendron, oak, and maple, and crosses several ridges with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. The highest point of the trek is Mardi Himal Base Camp (4,500m), from where you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Annapurna mountain range.
The Mardi Himal Trek is a moderate trek, suitable for people with a reasonable level of fitness. The trekking route is less crowded compared to some of the more popular routes in the region, which makes it a great option for those who want to experience the beauty of the Annapurna mountains in a more peaceful and serene environment. Along the way, you will have the opportunity to experience the local culture and hospitality of the Gurung people, who are the predominant ethnic group in the region.
Overall, the Mardi Himal Trek is a great option for those who want to experience the beauty of the Annapurna mountains, but prefer a less-crowded and more off-the-beaten-path trekking route.
